One day, Henry is farming while Ida waits for his eggs to hatch. Ida call Henry when the egg will hatch. The first smallest eggs hatch, they named Libby. After that second egg, they gave him Buck's name. The last one is big eggs, they gave his name is Arlo, but they were surprised to see it because Arlo has small body, not as they expected. Times flies away, they grow up quickly. One night, Arlo and Henry running around their fields to see a fireflies. Arlo make a trap to find food, it turns out a small boy who was trapped in there. Arlo and Henry wanted to follow that little boy, but at that time heavy rain and flood. Henry died dragged by a big flood. After henry died, Arlo helped her mother do the job her dad used to do.

Then, Buck laughs at the folly that arlo doing. At midnight, Henry takes arlo to around in the meadow. Then, they saw the beauty of the fireflies who were there running around the meadow.

He tried to climb the cliff and finally reached the top cliff. He was hungry and ate berries on a tree,but he was stumbled and crushed stone. At the night was rain and Arlo made a tent from twigs to sleep. In the morning little Tarzan gave him a big beetle to eat, but Arlo didn't like it. When Arlo was eating a berry suddenly a snake fell on his head. Then Arlo bathing in the lake a flock of leeches hit him. They went to jungle and found strange fruit and ate it.
